Touted as the Olympic bags that say what everyone’s thinking, although some of them are funny a couple of these bags by illustrator Tobatron are a bit needlessly rude.
We are sure there are plenty of slim American families coming over and renting out our flats for the Olympics for example.
The new range of tote bags are made up of three screen printed options and are designed by Tobatron (Toby Leigh) and accessories designer Elaine Burke.
We like that they have used the nasty logo to their advantage but to be honest when it comes to the Olympics I think most people are actually thinking either that they don’t give a flying…. or that they hope we don’t get bombed or finally that we hope for gods sake that this gets us out of our financial sink whole that we’re in. But I think over all everyone is thinking ‘I wish every piece of news/fashion/art/etc etc was not based around the Olympics any more.
To stop any criticism of the bags such as ‘you’re slagging something that’s at the same time giving you a reason for publicity’ or comments like ‘what you are writing on those bags could be deemed offensive and even a bit racist’ money raised from the sale of them will go to Khama, a women’s charity in Malawi and at least they’re not over priced.
The limited edition charity bags cost £15 each and are available at thatbigeventinlondon.co.uk
