Yes you heard correctly, there’s talk about a t-shirt which you control through your iPhone being released, but if you could buy one – would you?
The creative team at Ballantine’s are behind the ‘tshirt OS’ and they first because known when they designed an animated tattoo last year (warning for squeamish people the video shows everything). Now, they’re going a step further and moving into clothing.
It’s all part of their ‘Leave an Impression’ campaign and the clothing company CuteCircuit have gotten involved to make the idea possible.
So, how does it work? In simple terms there’s a screen on the t-shirt along with a camera and microphone and you can send messages to the t-shirt from your phone. Think Twitter updates or videos, being shown on your clothing.
Described as a ‘wearable, shareable, programmable and 100% cotton t-shirt’, it’s the first of its kind.
For a better picture, there’s a video on You Tube explaining exactly how it’ll work and right now the creators are trying to find out how much interest things kind of thing would have.
If you want one, you can register on the website and depending on how many people sign up, it’ll be created for the mass market.
