Wiley’s back with a new, very summery video, for his new single, Heatwave.

Originally known as the Godfather of grime Wiley made a name for himself on the underground circuit as one of the brightest and most talented names in the industry. However in the last few years we can’t help but think he’s let his fame get to his head a little.

Ok so Wiley has always been a live wire with a hugely inflated ego, you only have to read his Twitter page to know that, but we can’t help but thinking his confident personality has affected his music, for the worse.

Compared to his older stuff Heatwave just doesn’t compare. It’s self indulgent and pop tinged to the point of being a guaranteed top 5 hit and we can’t help but think it’s just been made to make him a couple of extra pounds rather than because he thinks it’s a genuinely good tune.
