It was only this summer that the internet became alive with the buzz of Tupac being brought back from the dead and onto the stage at Coachella to perform.
A new event, Best of Britannia (BoB) is about to celebrate all the music, arts, culture design and manufacturing that are ‘Made in Britain’ – all under one roof, across one big weekend at London’s Farmiloe Building.
And it just so happens that the company that made buzz creating Tupac hologram are British. The company, Musion will get involved with the Best of Britannia event by creating a ‘very special guest’ for it.
The iconic British superstar is yet to be announced but we do know that he or she will be performing and it’s probably going to be pretty epic.
Musion were also responsible for the famous Madonna / Gorillaz performance and have also worked their magic on the likes of Mariah Carey, Pixie Lott, Black Eyes Peas and Girls Aloud.
Guy Chambers is curating the event and The Best of British stage will provide live entertainment every evening over the 5th – 7th October. More on the line up and hopefully who the hologram will be soon.
So far we know that The Janice Graham Band will be playing – we are assured that they are a band who everyone is talking about though we personally have never heard of them (for anyone who is wondering they are a ska, reggae, funk outfit hailing from Europe’s largest council estate – Wythenshawe). There will also be performances from Matt Berry, star of The IT Crowd and The Mighty Boosh and a celebration of British film-making with an indoor pop-up cinema showcasing short, documentary and feature length films.
