It’s been rumoured for some time now that Star Trek actor Chris Pine could be in line to play Christian Grey in the film adaption of the incredibly saucy Fifty Shades of Grey however as he denies these claims on US TV we ask, which actor should play Mr Grey?
Arguably the obvious choice would be Ryan Gosling. Not only is it rumoured that Bret Eastin Ellis will be directing the film adaption (and Ellis and Gosling are pretty tight) but he’s proved himself over the years as a very adaptable actor who would no doubt do the role real justice. There’s also the fact that he’s impossibly good looking to consider too…
Another actor we reckon would make a great Grey is renowned bad boy Christian Bale. Not only does he have the right mix of sophisticated good looks and edginess but he also plays slightly creepy guys really, really well. Just look at him in American Psycho for proof.
Our third and final option for the role of Grey would be Michael Fassbender. As anyone who’s seen Prometheus will know Fassbender knows how to play rather odd men. He also did a brilliant turn as a sex addict in Shame so we know he’d be plenty comfortable enough getting his kit off for all those steamy scenes.
And lastly here’s some actors who should NEVER be allowed to play Grey…
Leonardo DiCaprio. We love him but he’s just getting a bit old now and we’re not sure he has the right level of sex appeal to pull off the role.
Robert Pattinson. Going from the object of lust for vampire fans everywhere to a dominating sexual fiend would be all kinds of wrong, don’t you agree?
Any of The Hunger Game cast. For similar reasons to Pattinson neither Liam Hemsworth or Josh Hutcherson should be allowed anywhere near the role. They just don’t have the experience needed to make the part believable.
