Next month The Whitechapel Gallery will be celebrating all things London with their new exhibition, London Open.

The open submission exhibition will run between 4th July – 14th September and will feature a number of works from both new and more established London based artists.

With most works surrounding the themes of politics and social issues the exhibition will celebrate some of the best works being made by Londoners in 2012. As well as hung pieces there will also be some interactive works including Arnaud Desjardin’s live printing press which will be running throughout the show and various film screenings.

Fans of inspired art are going to love this exhibition because each of the artists has used a different media form to create their pieces from video to photography, sculpture and even textile there’s a little something for art fans everywhere.
