This winter it’s going to be all about the onesie. The onesie goes under many names, it is also known as the play suit, the one piece and the jumpsuit but searches suggest that one piece and onesie are the most popular.
the onesie was brought back onto the scene (when I say brought back I mean brought back from your years as a baby into your adult life) by company One Piece (aptly named). One Piece so far seem to dominate the market with their hideously overprices – around £200- con-joined tracksuits.
The onesies by One Piece are nice, but then they would have to be for the money and they fit a lot better than anything you might find on Ebay.
Sadly, although the onesie has had a huge rise in the popularity stakes, be it as festivals or being worn by Joey Essex, there are not many around and we want to see this change.
Onesies, we have learnt from many images on the web, are sexy, make you get on better with your friends and are great to wear when it’s a little windy out. They are also, of course unisex so maybe if you just can’t wait and have to buy a onesie after reading this post then you can split the cost with your boyfriend. So long as you work out a decent rota to avoid arguments.
Soon as we come into winter we want to be wondering around in our totally comforting, warm onesie that we didn’t have to break the bank for. Currently the only high street shop that has anything onesie related is River Island but they are offering up a not very nice cow print option and a navy option that just looks all out of sorts.
We predict however that by next month either American Apparel or Topshop would have jumped on the band wagon and we are waiting eagerly to see it happen so that the monopoly for roll-a-round playsuits is not held by one internet shop.
Fight the cause!
