Fabio Quaranta won Milan’s prestigious Pitti Uomo award a couple of years ago, and he does tend to make some really cool suits and jackets. However these are some images taken from his AW/12 look book that, although it showcases a few nice pieces it also have a few decidedly dodgy ones and a few looks that it is clear the stylist has run away with themselves on.
First up for the critique is the T-shirt over the shirt. This doesn’t really show of either the T-shirt or the shirt well as both are crumpled and just generally look petty odd.
Secondly there is the skirt. I have never seen a man wearing a skirt seriously as a fashion statement since David Beckham got persuaded to go out in his and hers with Victoria. The skirt featured here looks like a school skirt and coupled with a blazer looks like a School girl wannabe cross dresser.
Finally the sort of Spok outfit. Again, unless you are possibly forming the new Kraftwerk and want a specific look to match your music I doubt this will be warn anywhere.
Coupled with the fact that this stuff ain’t cheap we’re not sure how far it’s going to get with the male audience.
Maybe we’re wrong, what do you think? Would you wear it?
