It’s Wednesday, middle of the week and time for some school night fun.
This week we’re feeling pretty musical, so rather than getting your BOGOF Cinema Ticket and Pizza Express why not try out one of the following…
The ICA is showing Shut Up and Play the Hits tonight with tickets £10 or at £8 for concessions, yup that’s you students. The film documents LCD Soundsystem’s final show at Madison Square Gardens NY, as well as some more private moments with frontman James Murphy as he comes to the decision to disband the group at the height of their success.
The Temper Trap are playing Somerset House tonight along with support from the likes of Alt-J and Chet Faker. The gig is sold out but you may find some cheeky tickets outside the venue and we don’t just mean touts, sometimes real people have spares – its worth a shot if you’re around central this evening.
Finally there’s a music quiz with a difference going down in Brixton tonight to raise money for this years Oxjam Brixton Takeover. The guys from the Sounds Familiar Music Quiz will be playing their mash-up style quiz at Dogstar on Coldharbour Lane, its £5 each with teams from 2-6 people and all the action kicks off at 7.
