With every other art site talking about Brandalism at the moment we decided to investigate further to find out what it’s about.
It turns out that Brandalism is something rather cool indeed and is currently taking London, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester by storm the way stencil art did a few years back.
Brandalism is the brain child of 24 artists from all over the world including Broken Fingaz, DR D, Ron English and Robert Montgomery and it aims to highlight the destructive nature of the advertising industry.
As part of the project the artists have created the UKs largest ever subversive advertising campaign on billboards all over the country. Each of the billboards has been created by a different artist and each touches on themes such as how bodies are represented in advertising, consumerism, debt and the environment.
