It’s been nearly two years since we heard anything from one of our favourite new(ish) acts Villagers.

Singer/songwriter Conor J. O’Brien and his 4 man strong band seemed to disappear a bit after being nominated for a Mercury Music Prize and playing a couple of sell out London shows.

However it’s with a big smile on our faces that we tell you that they’re back with a new track and video for The Waves, which you can check out above.

Sadly there’s no news at the moment of any live dates or indeed a follow up to the 2010 album Becoming A Jackal however we’re hoping that the release of this new track on 22nd October could signal the start of a come back for these guys.
