In news that will no doubt please London commuters everywhere, tube workers have voted in favour of going on strike.
The workers in question work on maintaining and upgrading the tube network as well as responding to emergency repairs but it looks like Londoners tube services could be severely disrupted as they have voted to go on strike.
Working across the Piccadilly, Northern and Jubilee lines the workers have been left angry over arguments about pensions and benefits after they were refused the right to be part of TfL’s pension scheme.
The workers will now go on strike over the coming months in the hope it’ll help them receive the same travel concessions as those that work on London Underground. While there aren’t any exact dates about when the workers will cease work at the moment the union who represent them, RMT, are said to be working out the finer details now so expect to hear more soon.
