This week Trafalgar Square will be making way for a new installation on its famous fourth plinth.
Up until this week the place was taken up by a giant sculpture of Nelson’s HMS Victory by artist Yinka Shonibare but now a new sculpture is due to be put in its place on Wednesday (23rd February).
The new status is entitled Powerless Structures, Fig 101 and has been made by Scandinavian artists Elmgreen & Dragset and depicts a golden child upon a golden rocking horse, a child like take on other equestrian statues of war veterans seen around London.
