One of London’s most iconic landmarks The Tower of London has now got a 1000 year old Facebook.

Opinions about Facebook’s relatively new Timeline layout has annoyed some and pleased others but after a year since its release it looks like it’s not going anywhere and once you take a look at The Tower of London’s page there is no denying that it’s pretty nifty for mapping out history.

Now instead of seeing when people had break ups, went to uni or got drunk you can see an entire 1000 years of history, all on Facebook.

Starting in 1066 with William the Conqueror and the site’s beginnings the timeline is stuffed full of some of England’s most infamous events from one of Henry VIII’s wives execution in 1538 to 1605 with the torture of the famed conspirator Guy Fawkes.

So if you’re at work waiting for the clock to strike home time then have a little history lesson, Facebook style.
