We’re finding it hard to keep up with all these sequels at the moment and now we have a new one to add to our list as the news is revealed that a Top Gun sequel is going to be made.
The follow up to Tom Cruise’s 1986 hit film Top Gun has been being whispered about for some time now but today is the first time the news has actually be confirmed.
It sounds like Cruise will return for the follow up with Paramount executive Adam Goodman telling Hollywood Reporter that Top Gun 2 will be filmed before they start work on Mission: Impossible 5 telling the publication, ‘We’ll likely make a Top Gun sequel with Tom Cruise first. Jerry Bruckheimerwould produce, with Tony Scott returning to direct… All parties are moving ahead.’
Apparently the film will be written by Peter Craig (The Town) but that’s all the news we have at the moment but keep watching this space as we’ll be sure to tell you every tiny detail as we hear it.
