The Torch continues to wind it’s way around the outskirts of London this week until Friday, 26th July when it comes right back bang smack into the central areas around Chalk Farm and Camden.
There are going to be a load of traffic issues and roads closed for Friday so you best get preparing and planning different routes if you’re not interested in the flame early.
This Friday the Olympic Flame will go from Chalk Farm all the way through to Hyde Park in a journey that plays out in the following order :
Chalk Farm, Camden, Kings Cross, Islington, Farringdon, into the City of London, Bank, Mansion House, Borough, Peckham, Camberwell, Denmark Hill, Brixton, Clapham, Battersea, Chelsea, Fulham, Kensington, Shepherds Bush, Holland Park, Notting Hill, West End, Downing Street, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park.
David Walliams will be one of the key Torch bearers and highlights of the Torch’e journey will include Two Torchbearers exchanging the Flame at the site of the finishing line in the stadium of the 1908 Olympic Games at 3.33pm and a special welcome when the flame hits Downing Street at 5.59pm.
There will also be an evening celebration at Hyde Park Corner that starts at 2pm and closes at 10.30.
