The rumours are true, the Spice Girls will indeed be closing the games.

If sneak peaks of rehersals are anything to go by they will be performing on the top of  black cabs covered in LED lights so as to project different images onto the cars surfaces.

The rehearsals have been taking place at the Ford car plant in Dagenham, east London, and Brian May, the Pet Shop Boys, Jessie J, Annie Lennox, Tinie Tempah and George Michael, have also been in the rehearsal line up.

George Michael, always one to jump on any publicity couldn’t hold his tongue like the other artists involved and has already revealed on Twitter that he is to perform.

Take That were meant to be in the line up too although now this is unlikely due to the very sad news that Gary Barlow’s daughter Poppy was a stillbirth.
