That’s right, it’s the Lock Tavern’s 10th Birthday! And to celebrate they are throwing a month’s worth of parties so you can all get in on the festivities.
The Lock Tavern in Camden has spun a rich tapestry of musical heritage over its ten year stint up the top of Chalk Farm Road. It’s it time so far it has won awards, set the standards in music programes and given a stage to the likes of The XX, Adele, SBTRKT, Florence and the Machine and more.
May is the birthday month in question and the series of parties will include just as good a line up as we have come to expect from this fine establishment (that does a real good roast).
Parties include the official Field Day pre-party with DJ sets from Wild Beasts and live performances from NZCA/Lines and Novella; Sunday Best with Rob Da Bank, Pump up the Volume with DJ Yasmin and Leo Greenslade (YO YO), FACT magazine parties and Red Bull Music Academy parties.
Wow, that’s a lot of stuff and we haven’t even covered the Sunday all dayers that run from 12pm-2am and are packed full of entertainment throughout as well as games and raffles throughout the month for Field Day and Apple Cart, bingo, and much more. The pub will be dressed with balloons and bunting for its birthday celebrations, adding to the festive feel.
