Back in 2011 Disney’s The Lion King returned in an immaculate and appropriate 3D overhaul at cinemas, reminding everyone that hand-drawn animation can still be epic in scale.
This clip is something quite different.
It’s a recreation of one of the film’s most famous scenes, which sees Scar sentencing Mufasa to death by stampeding wildebeest. It’s rendered in 3D, but animated either with total amateurism or a deliberate eye for the surreal. And it’s hilarious.
It’s the kind of clip that, if you’re having a bad day, can instantly improve your mood. While also being a little bit terrifying. Give it a watch.
