This is the latest artistic movement being fronted by illustrator Nick Hilditch and his curator Chris Bell and all the inspiration has been taken from everyones favourite micro blogging site, Twitter.
The pair spend hours going through peoples tweets to seek inspiration for the illustrations for what they say is a battle to make Twitter ‘less banal’. According to Hilditch each piece takes up to an hour to complete however finding tweets that are amusing/obscure enough to make in to art takes ‘a lot longer’.
The project, which they’ve named Irkafirka, is being hosted at www.irkafirka.com already includes nearly 400 images with prints of them being sold for up to £200. Here’s a few of our favourites…
