While the trailer for This Is The End showcases the new kings of mainstream Hollywood comedy, our first look at The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is a representative of the older generation of performers. And to some degree it shows them flagging a little.

Starring two Steves (Carrel and Buscemi) as a pair of ageing magicians looking to revitalise their careers in the face of competition from Jim Carrey’s less orthodox rival performer, slapstick and silly faces will be relied upon to provide most of the laughs.

At the moment there isn’t a UK release date for The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, but it’s out next March in the US, so a summer launch wouldn’t be out of the question.
