If you’re short of something to do this afternoon we suggest you check out this stunning new trailer for The Impossible a film about the 2004 Thailand tsunami.

The film is based on a true story of one families struggle to find each other among the mayhem and tragedy once the tsunami had passed and stars Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor.

We saw the first trailer for The Impossible back in December 2011 and since then things have gone a bit quiet and in all honesty we’d forgotten all about it’s release later this year. However this new trailer has reminded us just why we were so excited about it in the first place because it looks absolutely brilliant.

From the way it’s shot to the sensitivity shown towards those who lived through the disaster it’s certainly going to be one to catch for anyone who enjoys a good cry and for those who like films based on real life events.

The Impossible is released in December.
