Peter Jackson has taken to Facebook to confirm rumours that his Hobbit films will be turned into a trilogy.

As you may already know Jackson has been hard at work for the last year or so working on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and its follow up The Hobbit: There And Back Again and he’s not confirmed that there will be a third and final film in his franchise.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock your whole entire life we imagine you already know that the Hobbit films are going to star Elijah Wood, Martin Freeman, Orlando Bloom, Iam McKellen and Cate Blanchette to name just a few of the very famous faces on the cast rosta.

At the moment details of the third film are scarse but knowing Jackson he’ll have some pretty amazing tricks up his sleeve.
