Tomorrow’s Hit Factory gig in Hyde Park has been cancelled due to shoddy weather and a particularly muddy venue.
We reported yesterday that events organisers feared that future music events at Hyde Park would have to be cancelled after heavy rain fall at the weekend during Wireless Festival left the site a muddy mess. Although spokespeople were quick to play down the rumours it seems that the great British weather has forced The Hit Factory event to be cancelled.
The likes of Bananarama, Steps, Sinitta and Brother Beyond were due to perform at the one day event tomorrow (11th July) however anyone excited about seeing them will now be sadly disappointed.
The fear now is that the site wont be ready in time for this weekend’s Hyde Rock Calling event with organisers rushing to lay wood chip and keeping everything crossed that the park will dry out in time for music lovers to descent.
Anyone who had a ticket to tomorrow’s event will receive a full refund.
