The Chuppi Art Light From Mathmos

Mathmos is a brand that we will no doubt all remember from our childhood days when lava lamps were integral to a bedroom and if you were really lucky you had one of those glowing Mathmos balls.

Now they have a range of cool new design products including (our favourite) The Chuppi. The Chuppi is an art toy light much in the vien of art toys like those made by Kid Robot and Deego. These ones however light up and we are suckers for most things that light up.

There are 18 different ways to customise your Chuppi art toy light as it comes blank with stickers. Once you charge him up and decide whether you want him on a single colour or to go through a range of the colour spectrum you can sticker him up and make him your own.

The light can be timed to go off after half an hour or 6 hours.

For the design of the Chuppi Mathmos came together with Sheffield based designers TADO who do illustration and design in the same vien as the art toy Chuppi having also worked with Nike, MTV, Kid Robot and more.

Now for the best bit. We have not only got a Chuppi to give away but we also have a special edition Mathmos Jubilee light (a very patriotic lava lamp) as well as a set of Mathmos bike lights which are going to be a struggle not to keep for ourselves and you can win the whole lot.

We don’t need to explain the lava lamp but the bike wheel lights screw into your tires and are motion sensitive so that they only come on when you’re cycling. Pretty fucking cool.
