It’s the moment fans of Bret Easton Ellis have been waiting for, the first trailer for his newly written film The Canyons.

In typical Easton Ellis style he isn’t giving too much away with this trailer and is instead relying on some ambient music and beautiful shot images of LA to capture your imagination and give you hints about what the story line is about.

Starring Lindsay Lohan and porn star James Deen The Canyons tells the story of a group of 20 somethings exploring and trying to find their way in Hollywood. While the majority of the story line is being kept firmly under wraps anyone who’s read East Ellis books will know that there will probably be plenty of excess, drugs, sex and violence. This is, after all, the man who bought us American Psycho and The Rules of Attraction.

The Canyons will be a real test for the writer who has been desperately pimping himself out via Twitter to land the role of director of the film adaption of Fifty Shades of Grey. After watching this trailer we couldn’t think of a more perfect candidate for the role.
