Take a look at the picture of a burning Hermès Birkin bag above because it’s one that you’re probably going to be hearing a lot of people talking about.

The image was taken by Francesca Eastwood (daughter of Clint) and her photographer boyfriend Tyler Shields and shows Eastwood posing against a burning Birkin bag worth an eye watering $100,000. It’s caused an absolute outrage within the fashion world with people even sending the two death threats because of it.

So what’s the fuss all about? Well it seems that fashion lovers are firstly not happy that the images not only show the bag on fire but also show Eastwood destroying it with a chainsaw. Secondly the huge price tag means that the bag is sought after thousands of people who could only dream of spending such a huge sum on the bag and many are not happy that Eastwood obviously doesn’t understand the value of money.

Eastwood is apparently arguing that the images are ‘art’ and that people have ‘misunderstood’ what the images represent but to us it seems like a standard case of a spawn of a celebrity abusing her place in the public eye and not quite having a grasp on how much $100,000 would mean to a lot of people.
