Currently under a fair amount of speculation due to apparently damaging other artist’s work and allegedly taking ideas from many other street artists Banksy has had his first foray into TV aired last Saturday.
Having already mastered the world of film with his release, Exit Through The Gift Shop he has done an hour long documentary for Channel 4, The Antics Roadshow described as Banksy’s ‘incomplete guide to total anarchy’ providing a greatest hits of wayward behavior, sedition and sabotage.’
If you missed it on Saturday you can watch it now on 4OD, with contributors including ‘Michael Fagan talking about breaking into the Queen’s bedroom: ‘I looked into her eyes, they were dark’; and Noel Godin, who pioneered attacking celebrities with custard pies: ‘Instead of a bullet I give them a cake’.’
Channel 4 say that to explain the reasoning behind the show Banksy said: ‘Basically I just thought it was a good name for a TV programme and I’ve been working back from there’.
