Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon has surprised the fashion world by leaving the company that made her an international name.
Mellon started the shoe line back in 1996 after meeting a cobbler called Jimmy Choo when working while working as an editor at Vogue. Over the years Mellon has made a name for herself outside of the line being seen as a pivotal female figure in the fashion world. It was also announced that the companies CEO, Joshua Schulman has also stepped down from his role and responsibility of the company will now fall to the Labelux Group who acquired the company back in the summer for $850million. No official reason has been given for Mellon’s departure.
