After the surprising success of Taken, a trailer for the inevitable sequel has emerged.
Taken 2 once more stars Liam Neeson as gruff, lanky father figure Bryan Mills. The back streets of Paris have been swapped for the minaret-strewn cityscape of Istanbul, but the plot of the movie seems to be largely the same.
After rescuing his daughter (Maggie Grace) from sex traffickers in the first film, Mills is now dealing with an abducted wife, his previous actions apparently annoying a wider criminal network now intent on his destruction.
The trailer implies that Grace will actually have a little more to do in Taken 2, although it will be interesting to see whether the singing lessons provided by Holly Valance in the first film will have had an impact on her character’s life. One imagines not.
