What with the Russian Tea Rooms recently closing down in Primrose Hill and a number of other independent shops and businesses suffering from higher rent and big fat supermarkets moving in it’s time we supported our smaller shops.

Some recent favourites include The Ginger Pig [Hackney] and La Fromagerie [Islington] as well as smaller independents like Ayres the Bakers [Nunhead] and Mrs Lovell’s Greengrocer [Highbury].

With food able to be delivered straight to your door and also often on the same day this makes a far more convenient alternative to going to the supermarket.
