Street Feast, the moving, eating and drinking ‘place to be’ and London’s only night market has announced that it will now be a permanent fixture on the London food scene. This is pretty lucky as it has certainly taken up a permanent fixture in the hearts of the London foodies.
Street Feast will now reside for the foreseeable future at Hackney Downs Studios and further inspire night market culture in London
The decision to make Street Feast a permanent thing was a no brainer as the event wracked up a happy crowd of around 500 people each night over the summer months. Now every Friday, in it’s new home Street Feast will still cater for 500 people a night providing feasting and entertainment in one of East London’s most eclectic and creative spaces.
Approx 16 different traders will be at Hackney Down Studios each Friday including favourites such as Big Apple Hot Dogs, Kimchi Cult and The Ribman, and soon to be favourites like Vanduke noodles, and Yum Jungle, purveyors of the finest Thai spiced fried chicken. Sellers will rotate regularly, meaning plenty of choice and variety
Those fond of a pud have not been forgotten, as Sorbitium Ices and Sweet Tooth Factory will be on hand, and there will of course be the Street Feast Bar, serving a range of drinks including craft beer from Camden Town Brewery and seasonal cocktails.
A bigger, permanent venue means that Street Feast can start adding more to the experience and coming up there is live music from unsigned acts, silent disco style silent film screenings and eight arts, crafts and fashion stalls courtesy of Netil Market and Designers/Makers.
This is going to be such a fun event to go to over the winter months as things start to get all festive. We’ll probably be spending most of our Fridays there.
