Christopher Walken and Al Pacino are starring in upcoming tragicomic crime movie Stand Up Guys and you can watch the first trailer right here, right this second.

Pacino plays an ageing criminal who’s just been released from a lengthy jail term. Walken is his partner and best friend, who discovers that he has to whack Pacino or else face a whackage of his own at the hands of a mob boss.

The pair choose to party away the last few hours of their lives, bringing the even more ancient Alan Arkin along for the ride. It looks like a cross between Scent of a Woman and an underworld version of Hope Springs and it will be interesting to see whether it manages to remain compelling rather than twee when it releases in 2013.
