As the start of the dreaded Olympics looms upon us more news is breaking of the musical acts to be involved in the celebrations and newest on that list are Snow Patrol, Duran Duran and Paolo Nutini.
As a side note, do you think Duran Duran are having a little resurgence in the youth camps? BT did mention them on their latest ‘look our advert’s actually a soap’ advert.
Snow Patrol, Duran Duran and Nutini join Stereophonics at Hyde Park on the 27th July to play an event that will mark the start of the London 2012 Olympics. Each of the acts represent a different part of the UK, Duran Duran reps for England, Paolo Nutini – Scotland, Stereophonics – Wales and Snow Patrol for Northern Ireland.
During this musical extravaganza the Olympics opening ceremony will be displayed on large screens in between performances.
Oh, and PS, it’s sponsored by BT so yes, that girl that’s just moved into the flat with that geeky guy that knows all about broadband and likes Duran Duran will be pleased. Don’t forget you can download Duran Duran’s latest hits ahead of the event on BT’s super fast broadband! We’re not even joking.
You can also use your internet to pre-register for tickets by going to BTLondonlive.com/tickets. Tickets will be available on May 4th at 9am.
