Street Artist Slinkachu who makes little wonders on the streets of London and then photographs them is launching a Global Photography Competition With a new London Workshop Event.
The London workshop event is to celebrate the release of street artist Slinkachu’s new collection of works, ‘Global Model Village’.
The workshop takes place on the 23rd September between 12-5pm at Rix Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road.
After this one off workshop a worldwide social media competition will be launched to celebrate the new book of work. There will be both global and London phases of the competition that will challenge fans of Slinkachu’s work to create their own Slinkachu inspired pieces. The theme is ‘small people in a big world’ and the prize is a signed copy of the new book including an enclosed original print.
Slinkachu herself will host the workshop on the 23rd and members of the public will have the chance to be involved in the launch of the competition, creating their works under the guidance of Slinkachu and members of the East London craft and design collective, Craft Guerrilla.
Once the workshop pieces are completed they will be taken into the streets of London to be photographed in situ. The best image of the day will walk away with a signed, numbered copy of the new book and print.
If you simply just want to buy the book then it is released on the 29th September, the same date as Slinkachu’s third London exhibition
