Even though they’ve been hard at work filming for the past few months on Skyfall Sam Mendes has today announced that the film as a new bond girl.

The girl in question is Tonia Sotiropoulou who took to her Facebook to tell the world that she’d bagged herself a small role in the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall. The Greek actress took to her Facebook to write, ‘Dear friends I officially announce I got a part in J. Bond new film!!! Turkey here I come! Thank u all for you love and support! This is officially the happiest day of my life bitches!!!’ Now we’re fairly sure that the Skyfall press team would have preferred to write their own press release on this but you have to admire her excitement.

Starring Daniel Craig as the main man, Judi Dench, Noamie Harris, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Wishaw the film has been given only the simplest of synopsises reading ‘Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.’

Skyfall will be released on 26th October.
