Might Sabrina The Teenage Witch be making a comeback? Well, if like us you miss Melissa Joan Hart and her animatronic cat living with Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda etc then you’ll be happy to know it looks like they might be returning to our screens.

Sony look set to reboot Sabrina The Teenage Witch Spiderman stylie from the original 60′s comic books.

According to Deadline, Sony are planning to re-create her origin story in a much ‘darker, edgier’ (as always) way. The reboot will concentrate on  a young girl coming to grips with powers beyond her control.

Happily it seems that Salem (the cat) will still be involved although this time his back story as to why he is a talking cat will be that he is ‘a transformed prince creating unique love stories for Sabrina.’ Erm… ok.

So Sony towers seem to have been catching the crazy 90s bug but we’re not going to knock it until we’re seen it as we know our pre-pubescent selves would have hated us for being so judgemental.
