It’s become one of the most iconic symbols of rock and roll of all time and now The Rolling Stones have revealed their new look logo.
The band, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, commissioned legendary artist Shepard Fairey to bring their tongue and lip logo up to date for the occasion.
Fairey has kept the essence of the original logo but as added in a special fiftieth birthday banner in what we reckon is a very cool move indeed.
It makes sense that the band picked Fairey to redesign the logo (originally created by Jon Pasche), he’s become a regular among the music scene with acts such as Led Zeppelin and Tom Petty commissioning him to create album cover work and campaigns.
In what will be some further good news for Rolling Stones fans the band are said to be coming to London next week to discuss potentially recording a new album together.
