The website Rich Kids of Instagram has become hugely popular and why shouldn’t it, we all love hating on people with a ton of money that choose to gloat about it just as much as we love oggling their big f-off houses, infinity pools and mental bar tabs but there is an ugly side to all this and a side that says rich kids really should be monitored or educated about social networks.
As a certain Zachary Dell appeared on the Rich Kids of Instagram site recently a light was shed on the sheer stupidity of his sister who posted the picture, Alexa.
Alexa and Zachary’s father just happens to be billionaire Michael Dell, founder and CEO of that little known company DELL who also happens to spend $2.7 million a year on security for his family.
Little Alexa was posting up pictures of her brother on the family Jet going to Fiji, a picture that she had put up on the hugely viewed website from her not so private Instagram account that pointed right back to her Twitter which was again on public mode that happily pointed out her every move and country hop in detail, she had even enabled the GPS coordinate function on Twitter for her phone so that anyone could see where she was at any time.
Not thinking that this clearly might be enough to entice any internet stalkery robber person to keep a close eye on her she also felt the need to post up a picture of her high school graduation dinner invitation including the time, date and location that Michael Dell and his wife would be at in a couple of weeks’ time. Clever!
Of course the Dell security team have seen this and swooped in to close the poor dear’s accounts for fear of a very easy kidnapping and ransom, no doubt she will be grounded for a while for being so stupid.
The lesson to learn in all of this – stupidly rich kids… educate yourselves.
