Here’s the first trailer for Josh Hutcherson and Chris Hemsworth new film, Red Dawn.
When we were reading the synopsis for Red Dawn we have to say we weren’t expecting anything too great but having watched the trailer we think our minds have been firmly changed.
This film has actually been in the pipe line for a few years now but it’s only in the last year or so that it’s really been pushed forward. In that time of course two of the leading men, Hemsworth and Hutcherson, have gone on to propel themselves into the Hollywood A list following roles in The Hunger Games and of course Snow White and the Huntsman.
The film tells the story of the inhabitants of a small town in Washington who awake one morning to find soldiers parachuting from the sky and taking over their town. Declaring that the US is no longer run by the government but instead these captors they find themselves becoming prisoners in their own homes. As the fighting and tensions heighten a group of school kids (who look at least 5 years older than they’re probably meant to) take refuge in the woods and retrain themselves as assassins ready to take on those who captured their home town.
Red Dawn is expected to be released here at the end of the year.
