As Graduate fashion season continues, today witnessed the Royal College of Art‘s eagerly anticipated MA show take the stage (er, catwalk). Though RCA’s fashion school boasts legendary alumni like Philip Treacy and Julien Macdonald, this next generation of designers didn’t disappoint.
Of the 35 students across womenswear, menswear, footwear, knitwear and accessories who presented their work, there were a few that definitely caught our eye.
Alex Mullins’ highly imaginative menswear collection spanned an impressive range of textures and styles, from ornate ruffles to feather-topped wool caps. Alex was also runner-up at the Central Saint Martins BA graduate show last year – it will be interesting to see where he goes next.
Meanwhile, Peiran Gong added a playful edge to the proceedings with her colourful womenswear line, which included a lemon and powder blue business-suit print dress, and covetable digital prints.
Lucy Hammond (pictured) also dazzled with her glitzy, ‘20s-inspired knitwear.
Watch this space – these names may well be the Next Big Things in fashion.
