Do you rush to buy a large orange pumpkin that’s unbelievably heavy to carry as soon as they appear in the supermarkets? Do you then curse and cut your fingers trying to make a lovely ghoulish face in it ?
Well if you are any good at it you want to get yourself to the annual Hallowe’en Pumpkin Carving Competition at Fortnum and Mason on the 31st October.
This year Fortnum and Mason are having two pumpkin carving competitions, one for children and one for adults.
As you are probably most interested in the adult competition for ages 11-99 ( bit mean on the 99+) then this takes place between 6pm-8pm on the Lower Ground Floor with judging at 7pm.
During the competition there will be ‘wizard nibbles and bites and libations‘ on offer for participants. The winner receives an exclusive Fortnum’s Experience package and all the best pumpkins will feature in the Fortnum and Mason’s Halloween window display.
It’s £10 to enter but kiddies get to enter free with all proceeds going to the Prince’s Trust.
Remember you need to sign up to enter.
