Popular Chelsea nightclub and bar, Public has been closed down with immediate effect.
The closure comes after the bars owners lost an appeal against the local council who wanted to change their license so that Public had to shut it’s doors by 12.30am. Of course early closing hours isn’t great news for a club and so they’ve taken the decision to shut the place down.
Based in an old antiques warehouse Public aimed to bring a taste of typical New York East Village chic to Chelsea and soon became a regular for locals looking to dance the night away in decadent surroundings.
