Now, considering Prometheus was the prequel to Alien we’re not sure how they’re going to make it work but according to reports today Ridley Scott is pushing forward with a follow up to his film.

Prometheus has to be one of the most hyped about film releases of 2012, everything we saw in the lead up to its release was amazing but the film, while still fairly brilliant, didn’t quite live up to the expectation placed upon it. But that hasn’t deterred director Scott who is said to be keen to get a sequel in the works as soon as possible.

If you’ve seen the film you may be excited to know that Scott has already hinted that the next film will look at where David (the part so brilliantly played by Michael Fassbender) and Elizabeth (played by Noomi Rapace) came from.

As for when things will officially kick off that’s still on hold until they can find a writer but it looks like we could expect a 2014 or a 2015 release date.
