No it’s not that dodgy hand held camera film, it’s a new immersive, performance, theatre experience in Covent Garden that links in with the London Transport Museum who seem to be very busy with events at the minute!

During this walking performance event there are mysteries afoot with someone to find, clues to decipher and a plot to solve taking you into the Covent Garden Underworld.

Project X is the latest in a line of immersive performance theatre events where the viewers also take part in the event and get involved in some method acting and wondering around – the more you put in the more you get out.

Project X mixes a concoction of time travel, murder and cryptic clues with mysterious characters at covert locations in Covent Garden along your journey these characters will help you to unravel the secrets of Project X.

The Project X journey starts in Covent Garden Piazza and continues on foot around the neighbouring area. The audience are split into two groups of a maximum of 15 people and shows run from 11.00am to 3.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays until 4 November 2012. They last approximately two hours.

The London Transport Museum, where the journey both starts and ends are getting involved with Project X and have made a cocktail to celebrate. The X-iT is served in a silver bucket with dry ice billowing over the sides, the cocktail is based on a mixture of peach schnapps and vodka. The X-iT is served at the weekends in the Museum’s Upper Deck café and bar and Project X ticket holders can buy 2 for the price of 1 – so that’s £3.25 each instead of the full price of £6.50 per cocktail. We also serve non-alcoholic versions of the X-iT.
