Uh-oh. Things aren’t going very well at all for Transport for London at the moment are they? With just days to go before the start of the Olympics the Emirates Cable Cars have run into trouble.
Earlier this afternoon the Emirates Air Line was suspended for half an hour leaving hundreds of passengers dangling in thin air after a cable car broke down.
The cable cars link two Olympic venues at the 02 Arena and the Excel Centre which means that if this happens during the Games it’s going to cause real issues for those trying to travel to and from the Olympic sites.
Just yesterday we asked if the London transport system is really ready for the arrival of London 2012, the answer seems to be no.
