Do you live in the Barking area of London? In which case you’ll probably be happy to know that a pop-up spa will be opening its doors there next month.
The Barking Bathhouse is the brainchild of designing gurus Andrew Merritt and Paul Smyth and will be open from 20th July – 16th September and will provide a relaxing retreat for local residents and those who visit the area.
Created in honour of the areas former Bathhouse the spa will be spread out over various ‘pods’ which look a little bit like sheds/beach huts and will combine modern spa features such as an ice room with more traditional features like an ice room.
As well as several areas to relax, unwind and pamper yourself there will also be a very cool sounding bar which will feature hanging cucumbers so when it comes to your appointment you can hand pick one and have it used within your treatment.
And the best bit? Although prices haven’t been finalised it looks like a day at the spa will cost you less than £10. Keep an eye over on the Create London website for more details.
