One of WJ’s favourite singers Perfume Genius has debuted his new track, Take Me Home online and you can give it a listen below.
Know as Mike Hadreas to his family and friends the Seattle based singer has been leaving his gentle mark on the music world since he released his debut album Learning in 2010.
What has captured people’s attention with Perfume Genius is his utter honesty in his songs. Singing about his sexuality, sexual abuse, lost love and death his recordings are often recorded straight onto tape as he plays from his piano at home and then transfered on to CD giving his music a very raw quality.
This new track is due for release through Turnstile Records on 24th September.
If you’re a fan of the singer he’ll be playing London’s Union Chapel on 6th September.
