Patrick Wolf would have been making music for 10 years this year and to celebrate he is releasing a double album, Sundark & Riverlight.
Sundark & Riverlight will feature re-recordings of songs from Wolf’s entire catalogue and will be released on the 25th September.
The album release will mark the start of Wolf’s world tour that will see him play at London’s Old Vic Theatre on August 29th, as well as other intimate UK dates.
Wolf has said of the new albums, “My first EP came out when I was I9 and in the 10 years hence, my voice has grown with me. I started out playing with just one instrument and singing with no microphones in folk clubs, on the streets and galleries. I missed that raw communication so much and the spontaneous energy of that live situation.”
In his 10 years as a recording artist Wolf has delved from folk to pop to industrial over the course of five full-length albums.
