The papers are rammed with stories of extortionately-priced hotel rooms during the Olympics, but you can now get a room for just £1.

That’s right just £1 – if you’re lucky enough to get one of the 500 rooms up for grabs at this price at the Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch.

It’s ideally located for tourists to hop on the tube or overground and get out to East London quickly and the hotel has 500 rooms for £1 on offer between the 1 July and 30 September.

This covers the entire Olympic and Para-Olympic period and is a great way to bag a bargain.

However, as there are only 500 rooms available you will need to act quickly and get lucky.

Those who aren’t successful will still have to cough up £69 a night (a bargain compared to some London hotel prices).

To get involved visit the website on the 26 June when the sale commences. Five rooms at this price are on sale every day so the odds are slim but you’ve got to be in it to win it.
